General Conference

This is one of Kylie's favorite things to do. She would sit in the sink and play all day if I let her.

Wasn't General Conference great?! My favorite conference talk was by Elder Ballard. If you didn't hear it you can go to lds.org and listen to it. He talked about young mothers. He said, "Recognize that the joy of motherhood comes in moments. There will be hard times and frustrating times, but amid the challenges there are shining moments of joy and satisfaction." That is so true. These pictures remind me of some of those shining moments.

Elder Ballard talked to the children and told them to help their moms and to tell them they love them. Hopefully Kylie will listen and stop telling me she hates me. Although sometimes she says, "Mom, you're my best friend!" She can't make up her mind I guess. But I always tell her I love her.

That is so funny. Well having three really isnt a big deal. Mine are a little too close (the last two are 14 months apart) but really not a big deal. You look like such a good mom, you could do it. Im glad you guys are doing good. You have such a cute family!

We loved conference too, and that was one of my favorite talks, along with Sister Tanner's. It's cute because Ty keeps saying since his talk, 'I hope I help you feel validated for what you do.'
That cute picture of Kylie just reminds me of her. I think we still have a video of Kylie playing in your parents sink. It started off as a foot wash, but soon turned to a bath. I guess she's like her Mom and just loves baths!

Jess, I can't believe she fits in the kitchen sink! How funny!!! Kate usually plays next to the sink (with her feet in and making a huge mess) until I say, "How 'bout a bath?" I also loved Elder Ballard's talk. And President Monson's. It was so nice to have the Prophet take up a half an hour! I love your blogs!!

Hi Jess,
I agree that was my favorite talk. It is something that I think all young moms needed to hear. Kylie is so cute! I haven't let Livi play in the sink--I don't think I would ever get her out!

I had no idea Kylie played in the sink! That is so funny. I'm surprised she hasn't asked to climb into ours=) Glad you're blogging! It's funny how much more I learn about my neighbor from the computer than from actual talking!

Jess, these are the best pictures of Kylie. I found your blog on Audra's. I too loved his talk. We were listening to it while on a drive and I turned off the movie that Addy and Beck were watching in the back seat and told them to listen. They were good sports though. Every few minutes Addy would reach her hand forward and give me a little pat on my shoulder. About twenty minutes later she handed me a note that said "I will do it".
